Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment which removes 3-4 weeks of dead skin cells as well as the vellus (fuzzy or downy) hair that annoys so many of us. At LA Perfection we have combined this non-invasive exfoliation treatment with our advanced electrical and laser treatments to offer a unique combination of amazing facials to suite all of your skin needs. The Hydrate and Glow includes manual exfoliation, enzyme peel, collagen mask or LED Light Therapy and application of Alumier Cosmeceutical Skincare products. Your skin will look and feel amazingly hydrated and glowing immediately after this treatment with zero downtime.

FAQs
Does it hurt?
The sensation is very similar to shaving so most people will feel no pain at all and find the treatment quite relaxing. if your skin is particularly sensitive then you may feel a slight discomfort but nothing painful.
How long does it take?
An express Dermaplaning treatmet takes around 20 minutes but we have combined dermaplaning with many other treatments with carying times.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime at all, your skin will look instantly glowing following a treatment unless it is combined with any of our more invasive treatments.
Does hair grow back thicker?
No, this is physically impossible. The soft vellous hair will grow back slowly, usually within 4 weeks.
How often should I have a treatment?
Dermaplaning can be performed every 3-4 weeks. The process removes 3-4 weeks worth of dead skin cells so we should allow this time for the skin to repair before performing the treatment again.
What areas can be treated?
Dermaplaning is performed on the face only. we cannot treat the eyelids, neck or chest.
Who cannot be treated?
We cannot treat anyone with active acne outbreaks until lesions have healed. We cannot treat anyone with bleeding disorders, uncontrolled diabetes or anyone undergoing cancer treatment. If you have a specific skin disorder please ask for advice before booking a treatment.
