With over 12 years of experience as a cosmetic tattooist and laser technician, Lyndsey combines her in-depth understanding of skin, pigment and laser interaction to achieve exceptional outcomes. EYELINER TATTOO REMOVAL

Eyeliner tattoo removal using a pico laser is a precise and delicate procedure designed to safely fade or fully remove unwanted pigment from the lash line. The ultra-short pulses of the pico laser shatter pigment particles into tiny fragments without causing heat damage to the surrounding skin. This makes it ideal for treating the sensitive eye area. At LA Perfection, treatments are performed by Lyndsey — a highly experienced cosmetic tattooist and laser specialist with over 12 years of expertise — using specialist intra-ocular shields to protect the eyes throughout the procedure. Each session is tailored to the individual, ensuring effective pigment clearance with maximum safety and comfort.

FRECKLE TATTOO REMOVAL

Freckle tattoos have become a popular beauty trend. However, not all freckle tattoos age gracefully — pigments can often fade unevenly, change colour over time, or appear unnatural as skin tone and texture change. Freckles that once looked soft and subtle can become too dark or patchy. Pico laser removal offers a safe and effective solution to remove unwanted tattooed freckles. Using ultra-fast light pulses to gently break down pigment without damaging the skin, the treatment allows for natural fading and a smoother, more even complexion. At LA Perfection, Lyndsey, a cosmetic tattooist and laser specialist with over 12 years of experience, combines her deep understanding of pigment behaviour with advanced laser precision to restore a more natural, balanced appearance.

This powerful combination of specialist skill and cutting-edge technology sets LA Perfection apart as a trusted choice for safe, professional, and beautifully natural results.

HOW DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?

The laser wavelength is selected according to the colour of your tattoo, and passed over the area to be treated. The energy causes the ink to heat up and shatter into tiny fragments. Specific wavelengths of light will target specific colours, leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected.

After the ink is broken down into smaller particles, phagocytes in the blood stream engulf the fragmented particles and disperse them through the lymphatic system, causing the tattoo to fade.

At each session, the top layer of visible ink will absorb the laser light and fragment into smaller particles ready to be removed through the lymphatic system over time. Your tattoo will appear lighter after each treatment.

The process is repeated until all visible ink has gone. The number of sessions required depends on the size, colour, saturation, depth and age of the tattoo.

WHAT IS A PICO LASER?

A picosecond laser emits light pulses with a duration of one trillionth of a second. These extremely short pulses allow for highly precise and rapid ink particle destruction, without damage to the surrounding tissue. Put simply, the ink particles are broken up so quickly that there isn't time for the surrounding tissue to become damaged, allowing for more ink destruction at each session.

The Pico Legend a true Picosecond laser offering one of the fastest pulse times on the market at 300 pico-seconds. This is two or three times faster than many other pico-second lasers.

The area may be red and swollen for up to 48 hours in extreme cases but for most people, swelling and redness only lasts for a few hours.

Scarring is highly unlikely and only usually occurs if aftercare advice is not followed. Sometimes, scar tissue from the original tattoo can be more visible when ink is removed. We also offer skin rejuvenation treatments to help with this.

There are too many variables to accurately  predict the number of treatments needed. Most people require 1-4 sessions but some up to 8.
